In other clinics in India, surrogate mothers are admitted to a floor, you can see pictures from google, all of them in rooms, beds close together. They await the birth there, and only if they perform pregnancy, they earn the money that was agreed.
Our clinic is different. In fact, there is not a really clinic. It is rather a laboratory, where they make in vitro fertilization, egg collection, semen samples and perform other laboratory activities. The group consists of our Doctor, who is a gynecologist and obstetrician, and another doctor, who is a surgeon and specialist in laparoscopy. The rest of the group consists of apprentices, also laboratory technicians, secretarial ... It's a small department, but is burgeoning.
Our doctor will labor with scheduled visits. They have 4 ultrasounds, at 6 weeks, at 12, to 18 and 32, and then weekly along with the record cardiotocographic until delivery. All this is done in a clinic to which they are associated.
Right things for our clinic: the surrogate mother is not entered at any time, just in labor, she has normal life at home, and only have contact with the hospital visits already scheduled, unless they have any alteration. They earn for months, we make sure the lawyer that this was so. There are ways to encourage them, to arrive at the end of the process, but without having to take advantage of the third world. Thus, if there is any change at 6 months, she will have already taken 6 months. In other clinics only charge if brought to term, besides being in homes where they are isolated from their families.
