First day in Delhi

We arrived to India after organizing everything quickly. In terms of tourism aspects I said in another post in that blog, so I may discuss some detail later.
We arrived at the clinic on Friday afternoon. We talked about the current situation in India, and which had to be our attitude. I'm going to explain the situation in general ... The laws are changing, but there is no law imposed. The Indian government, which wants to have a guide of how to act Clinicians, to homogenize the situation and not let anyone's hands. They put some requirements to ensure that people performing surrogacy, children end up taking their country. Concern has been growing while it has interest from other countries for surrogacy in India, so at this point, they are trying to establish some guidelines for countries wanting access. It is a situation that everyone talks a lot but no one knows anything, so it's best to wait for the outcome.
In our case, the data is sent in time at FRRO. Dr Shobha Gupta, showed us the list of cases accepted by the FRRO and that we could go forward. At the time, we send a signed, valid passport and visa, so that the data will arrive on February 18, and in about 10 days we had an answer. The new cases will not be made for the time, until the situation is resolved. We know from other clinics that have started the process and have had to stop, but do not know their status in the FRRO or were rejected ... I don't know.
As mentioned in other posts, we chose donor eggs and she was ready for collection on Saturday morning. We went for sperm donation on Friday and Saturday. The clinic gave us a room at a hotel for the collection of semen.
The first contact with our doctors was cordial, close, very friendly, went smoothly, in his own office. We explained the situation in a very realistic while close. They were offered the option to stop the process and wait until the situation is resolved. We, knowing that fresh embryos are better than frozen (70% vs. a 25%), we prefer the option of fresh embryos and move on. They offered us an appointment to the legal advisor in these matters for the Saturday afternoon, to clarify contracts and signatures with clinical and surrogate mothers.
They asked a taxi back to our hotel, and paid as Indians, not as tourists. Our first contact was very very good, very positive we went there and raring to go forward.
